About Alsace Techniques Étiquetage (ATE)

Alsace Techniques Étiquetage (ATE) is a family-run converting specialist based in the Alsace region of France. Founded in 1989 by Daniel Burg, the company has become an international leader in printing, die-cutting and laminating of both adhesive and non-adhesive materials.

Serving a wide range of industries, including mobility, food, health, electronics, construction and logistics, ATE is known for its precision, flexibility and technical expertise. The company operates under an ISO 14001 environmental management system, reflecting its strong commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.

The Challenge: Manual Cleaning Slowed Down Production Efficiency

To improve their workflow, Alsace Techniques Étiquetage introduced automated cleaning solutions from Flexo Wash. The installation and start-up were smooth, and the systems were quickly integrated into daily operations. Automation has enabled operators to focus on other tasks, while ensuring consistent and effective cleaning results.

The collaboration with Flexo Wash has been marked by responsive service and a strong understanding of their needs. Alsace Techniques Étiquetage highlights that working with Flexo Wash goes beyond purchasing equipment, it’s about partnering with a team that listens, supports, and follows through to ensure everything continues to run smoothly.

The Solution: Automated Cleaning Systems to Boost Workflow

When Alsace Techniques Étiquetage was founded in 1994, cleaning processes were carried out manually. Over time, it became clear that manual cleaning limited both efficiency and consistency, while also placing heavy demands on operator time. The company began looking for a faster, more reliable, and optimised way to do cleaning.

The Results: Faster Cleaning, Improved Print Quality & Reduced Manual Labour

Automation has helped Alsace Techniques Étiquetage achieve time savings on their press, improved print quality and a better overall workflow. By reducing manual labour and ensuring repeatable results, cleaning has become both faster and easier for the team.

The company values the quality and reliability of Flexo Wash equipment, as well as the personal support they receive. This long-term relationship has helped them maintain efficient, consistent and high-quality cleaning for many years.

A Focus on Sustainability at Alsace Techniques Étiquetage

Alsace Techniques Étiquetage takes sustainability seriously and continues to adapt to new environmental standards within their industry. Their partnership with Flexo Wash supports these ambitions, as automated cleaning systems help reduce waste, save resources and optimise energy use.

Due to the very strong relationship between ATE and Flexo Wash, ATE decided to invest in the latest model when they increased their printing width. They wanted not only to meet their new production needs but also to benefit from the newest features in line with the NXT concept: improved performance, greater sustainability, and reduced service requirements.

As part of this upgrade, Flexo Wash took back their old PK 160 WR CB machine (originally installed in 2004) and resold it to another customer. In 2018, ATE received the PK 200 WR TL NXT – a new model offering the latest technological and ecological improvements.
