Remove all built-up ink
The anilox is the heart of the flexo printing press and keeping it clean is vital for the print quality. To maintain high productivity and consistent print quality, you need to remove all build up ink in the cells to restore the cell volume completely.
For this purpose, Flexo Wash has developed a series of cleaning solutions for different applications. As every solution is suitable for removing all ink types, your method of cleaning determines which solution is the best match for you and your company.
Right solution for your needs
We always recommend washing your aniloxes in an automatic anilox cleaner as this gives the best result and preserve the quality of the aniloxes.

Anilox Deep Cleaner 3S
The cleaning liquid is developed to deep clean aniloxes in the Flexo Wash machine. It is a water based strong alkaline liquid based on special surfactants. It is formulated to loosen the dried ink in the cells of the anilox. The liquid is corrosive to light metals, e.g. aluminium.

The cleaning liquid is developed to deep clean aniloxes in the Flexo Wash machine. It is a water based strong alkaline liquid based on special surfactants. It is formulated to loosen the dried ink in the cells of the anilox. The liquid is corrosive to light metals, e.g. aluminum.
Easy to send liquids (non-dangerous goods/no ADR) - we recommend:

This liquid is developed for customers who are in need of smaller quantities, who wish to order the product for testing or who prefer to avoid ADR restrictions.
The cleaning liquid is developed to deep clean aniloxes and gravure cylinders in the Flexo Wash machine. It is a water based strong alkaline liquid based on special surfactants. It is formulated to loosen the dried ink in the cells of the anilox.
The liquid is corrosive to light metals, e.g. aluminum - please be aware that anilox sleeves must be cleaned using sealed adaptors with end caps.
Alu-safe - we recommend:

Quick Clean is very good for cleaning of UV based and solvent based inks. It is the most environmentally friendly solution for manual cleaning of aniloxes that Flexo Wash have in the portfolio. It can replace many of the very aggressive manual cleaners on the market. The liquid contains DPM. It is a liquid that smells very little.
Quick Treat
Quick Treat is very good for cleaning of UV based and solvent based inks. The liquid contains Diacetone alcohol.
Buster
Buster is a high alkaline liquid. It is very good for cleaning all types of ink. It contains Potassium hydroxide.

Cleaning tools
Steel Brush
Use the steel brush if you have heavy layer of inks to remove. The brush can be used after you have applied the manual liquid to the anilox.
Brass Brush
Use the brass brush if you have heavy layer of inks to remove. The brush can be used after you have applied the manual liquid to the anilox.
Holder for aniloxes
By placing the aniloxes in a holder you avoid damaging the aniloxes when you clean them manually.
Sponge
Use the sponge when you apply the manual cleaning liquid. In this way you make sure the liquid enters the cells.
